Oh wow... I"m so glad I got a chance to see this up! It looks even better than I imagined -- so I'm gonna :+fav: it again. Not that you'll mind. I love how the paint drips like blood down his forehead and face; finding it very evocative... :]

Hey Thanks,
I was afraid it was going to be too much, but I think it makes more of a statement with the colors of mud and blood. I especially like the drip that runs to and from his eye like a tear.
Glad to see you back. Hope you are all settled in.

Thanks for the comment and fav.

I love it

The wrist modelling looks a little like a crumpled newspaper which is well with the subject matter, also the fact that he doesnt know that he is being Hit on the Head and is actually bleeding from the assualt expresses perfectly how we react to the media today. The fact that apathy has replaced expression of pain is really what you have expressed so well in this painting.

Well done again, much better outcome than I expected. I liked the first posting so much I didnt think you'd be able to modify it to the better. I was wrong.

Great :) I will Fav it again :)

Thanks for your response and the Fav. I love that you are able to read so much into this.
You may notice it is a larger format this time ( just in case you wonder), I scanned the first time around and I just got a better camera and was able to shoot it in its entirety.

its great!! the thumbnail does no justice to the actual piece. You are very talented, the character is so full of life and style. if i were to describe it, id say the style to me looks like a creative mix of edvard munch and egon schiele.
